W.e.f. 1 Jul 2024, SCDF will change its sender ID for NS Mobilisation matters from “91449746” to “80709995”. This follows the gov.sg SMS Sender ID announcement on 13 Jun 2024 and aims to help recipients recognise and authenticate SMSes from SCDF.

4 Persons Rescued from 2 Separate Road Traffic Accidents. 1 extricated dead.

In 2 separate road traffic accidents, SCDF assisted to extricate 4 casualties when their cars hit into the trees by the roadside.

The first road accident occurred last night at 2357hrs when a car hit into the tree along Yishun Avenue 4 near to Northland Primary School. The Male Chinese driver was pronounced dead on arrival by SCDF paramedic. One Female Chinese and 2 Male Chinese were extricated by SCDF fire fighters using hydraulic spreader within 20 minutes.

In another road accident which happened this morning at 0632hrs, SCDF fire fighters helped to release one Male Chinese from the driver"s seat when his car hit into the tree along West Coast Highway near to Block 704.
