Change of Command Parade For Commander 1st CD Division

Lieutenant-Colonel (LTC) Daniel Seet has been appointed as Commander 1st CD Division for SCDF with effect from 1st October 2012. A symbolic Change of Command Parade was held today, Thursday, 4 October 2012, at 7.30 pm at the 1st CD Division. The parade was officiated by COMR Eric Yap, Commissioner SCDF.

The parade witnessed the symbolic handing over of the command mace from LTC Ling Kok Yong to LTC Daniel Seet, followed by LTC Daniel Seet taking the Oath of Command. Approximately 200 guests comprising SCDF officers, Home Team Officers, grassroots and community leaders, NS commanders and Civil Defence Auxiliary Unit (CDAU) members from 1st CD Division were present.

LTC Daniel Seet had served his full-time National Service in SCDF as a Rota Commander at the former Sembawang Fire Station (now known as Yishun Fire Station) in 1999 and became a regular SCDF Officer in 2001. After completing his university studies, he was offered an SCDF scholarship to do a Masters Programme in Communication Management at Boston"s Emerson College. Prior to his current appointment as Division Commander, LTC Daniel Seet has held various command and staff appointments including Assistant-Director of Operations, Plans and Projects..

LTC Ling Kok Yong has been the Commander of 1st CD Division for the past 2 years. He has assumed the appointment of Director Technology Department on 1st October 2012.
