SCDF was alerted to a fire incident at the above mentioned location at 0807hrs. 2 Fire Engines, 1 Red Rhino, 2 Fire Bikes, 3 Ambulances and 2 support vehicles were dispatched.

Upon SCDF"s arrival, thefire was well alight at a 2nd floor unit. Fire fighters conducted forcible entry into the unit using breaking tools and extinguished the fire within 15 minutes using one water jet. The fire involved the entire unit. Four occupants (3 male, 1 female), understood to be from the affected unit, were at the void deck upon SCDF"s arrival. 3 of them were conveyed by SCDF ambulances to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital while 1 of them refused conveyance.1 Elderly lady from an adjacent unit was also conveyed toKhoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Concurrently, fire fighters also conducted forcible entry into a 3rd floor unit which was directly above the unit on fire. The unit was smoke logged and SCDF rescued a lady in her 20s out of the unit. SCDF together with the police also conducted evacuation for the block"s residents from 2nd floor to 5th floor.

The cause of fire is still under investigations.
