At 0905hrs, SCDF was alerted to a fire at No. 23 Neythal Road. SCDF resources which included 2 Fire Engines, 1 Red Rhino, 2 Fire Bikes, 3 Supporting Vehicles and 1 ambulance were immediately dispatched to the location and arrived at the incident site within 8 minutes.

Upon arrival, SCDF personnel found the fire raging and thick black smoke emitting from the premises. SCDF personnel immediately donned breathing apparatus sets and conducted offensive fire fighting. A total of 3 water jets were used to extinguish the fire within 15 minutes. The fire involved an area measuring 10m by 10m and the contents involved barrels of paint.

The SCDF also conducted search operations to ensure that no one was trapped.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
