At 1226 hrs, SCDF Control Room received a call informing of a fire at No 12, Joo Koon Crescent. SCDF resources which included 4 Fire engines, 1 Red Rhino,10 Support Appliances and 1 Ambulance were dispatched and arrived within 4 mins.

On arrival, the crew reported that the fire had engulfed the 1st and 2nd storey of the premises measuring approximately 25m by 25m.

SCDF responders immediately donned their breathing apparatus sets and conducted offensive fire fighting with 8 foam jets to mitigate the fire. The fire was brought under control by 1333 hrs.

The production area was totally destroyed and part of the general office (10 m x
20 m) were damaged. One of the staff, a female Chinese, 53 years old, was overcome by smoke inhalation and she was conveyed to SGH by ambulance. All other workers were accounted for.
