Joint operational exercise at Woodlands Train Checkpoint
15 January 2014

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) will be conducting an operational exercise at Woodlands Train Checkpoint, 11 Woodlands Crossing on Friday, 17 January 2014. The exercise will begin at 0030hrs and end at about 0300hrs on 17 January 2014.

Such exercises are part of the various agencies on-going efforts to validate and update operational plans and procedures. In total, about 80 personnel and 11 emergency and supporting vehicles will be participating in the exercise.

Train services and checkpoint functions will not be affected by the exercise. All operational vehicles participating in the exercise will have their beacon lights turned on to alert motorists. Exercise signages will also be placed at prominent locations to keep members of public informed of the exercise.

The public is advised not to be alarmed.
