To help businesses reduce regulatory compliance costs, SCDF will implement three-year Fire Certificate (FC) validity periods for renewal applications from 1 Apr 2026 onwards. Please refer to the SCDF Fire Certificate webpage for more information.
Due to operational considerations, the Civil Defence Heritage Gallery and Emergency Preparedness Centre will be closed from 4 March 2026. The weekly Saturday morning Fire Station Open House will also be closed from 7 March 2026 until further notice.

NFEC to conduct Fire Evacuation Drill at Shaw Centre on 27 September 2016
The National Fire and Civil Emergency Preparedness Council (NFEC), with the support of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), is conducting a Fire Evacuation Drill at Shaw Centre, 1 Scotts Rd, 228208, on Tuesday, 27 September 2016. The exercise will begin at 9.00am and end at about 10.30am.
This fire drill aims to instil emergency evacuation awareness among occupants as well as the public in general. The fire evacuation drill also serves as a platform for testing the proficiency and readiness of the premise emergency response teams.
The public is advised not to be alarmed. Exercise signage will also be placed in the vicinity to alert members of the public to the exercise.
