History:

The 1st SCDF Div HQ, previously at Kim Keat Camp at Jalan Rajah, was built in 1963 as a primary school before it was allotted to the SCDF and converted to become the HQ for the 1st CD Division to cover areas in the southern parts of Singapore.

Current Facts:

The present 1st SCDF Div HQ is co-located together with Alexandra Fire Station and Queenstown Neighbourhood Police Centre at the new 7-storey Home Team landmark at Queensway which was operationalised on 1 Jun 2005. The co-location of the units translates into greater one-stop accessibility and convenience for the public, further facilitating the development of bonds between the 2 Forces, and their partnership with the community they serve.
