Civil Defence Auxiliary Unit (CDAU)

The Singapore Civil Defence Force established its volunteer force, the Civil Defence Auxiliary Unit (CDAU), in 2006 to engage the community in civil defence and provide an opportunity for volunteers to contribute to the nation’s civil defence efforts. CDAU officers play complementary roles to their SCDF regular and NSF counterparts in vocations such as Fire-Fighting and Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, Public Education, Enforcement and Heritage Gallery Guide.

For more information on the CDAU, please visit Home Team Volunteer Network.

Introduced in 2004, CERTs are formed at the community level to enhance community emergency preparedness and response of the people.  If you are an able-bodied Singapore citizen or permanent resident aged 14 or older, and you want to make a difference in your community, please contact People’s Association Emergency Preparedness Division by emailing to PA_Cert@pa.gov.sg directly.
