SCDF received a call at 1318hrs about a fire at a manufacturing facility on Pulau Bukom. 2 Fire Engines, 2 Fire Bikes, 1 Red Rhino and 8 support vehicles were dispatched.

Upon SCDF"s arrival on the island, Pulau Bukom"s in-house fire-fighting team was already fighting the fire with 8 water jets. SCDF deployed two additional large water jets to the ongoing fire-fighting operation.

Fire was brought under control about an hour from the initial notice of the incident.

At the time of this news release, (a) fire fighting operations are still ongoing and (b) there are no reported injuries.
