Fire at Blk 624 Yishun Ring Rd on 30 Dec 2015

SCDF was alerted to a case of fire at the above mentioned location. SCDF resources were immediately dispatched to the incident site.

SCDF firefighters had to force open the main door of a unit on the eighth floor. The fire involved the contents of a living room and was extinguished by SCDF using one water jet.

Two occupants within the unit, a man and a woman were rescued by SCDF. Both casualties were conveyed to hospital for smoke inhalation and injuries. Approximately 10 residents self-evacuated prior to SCDF arrival.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
